Two features make IPTV feel like proper television rather than a list of streams: the TV guide (EPG, for electronic programme guide) and catch-up. Both are included in every Glomax8K plan.
How the guide loads
With the Xtream Codes login, your app downloads the guide by itself after the channel list. The first load can take a minute or two; after that the app refreshes in the background, usually once a day. With the M3U link, add the separate EPG link from your Glomax8K message in the app’s guide settings.
Times an hour out? Fix the offset
If programmes start an hour early or late, the guide is right and the app’s time zone is not — classic after the clocks change in spring or autumn. Fix it in the app:
| App | Where to change it |
|---|---|
| TiviMate | Settings → EPG → EPG time shift |
| IPTV Smarters | Settings → Time format / EPG timeshift |
| OTT Navigator | Settings → EPG → Time offset |
| MAG box | Settings → System settings → Time zone |
Catch-up: replaying what you missed
Channels with catch-up keep recent programmes available for replay, typically for a few days. In the guide, those channels show a small replay or clock icon. Move back in the guide, select a programme that has already aired, and press play.
- Catch-up depends on the source; not every channel offers it.
- Major networks in the USA, UK, Canada and Australia are the most likely to have it.
- Catch-up works with the Xtream Codes login; plain M3U often does not support it.
Missed the first half?
On a catch-up channel you can usually start a game that is still live from the beginning: open it in the guide and choose play from start, if your app offers it.
When the guide is empty
- Update the EPG manually in the app settings.
- Wait a few minutes after the first load.
- Check that the channel has guide data at all — a few event and international channels do not.
- Still empty on major channels? See the troubleshooting guide or message us.
