Six steps from a fresh Fire TV Stick to the Glomax8K channel list.

The Fire TV Stick is the most common way people watch Glomax8K. Amazon does not list IPTV players in its store, so the job is: allow apps from outside the store, install one helper app, install the player, sign in. About ten minutes in total.

1

Turn on developer options

2 min
  1. Open Settings → My Fire TV → About.
  2. Click the device name seven times until a message says you are a developer.
  3. Go back to My Fire TV → Developer options.
  4. Open Install unknown apps and switch it on for Downloader (you will install it next). Older Fire OS shows a single Apps from Unknown Sources switch instead.
2

Install Downloader

1 min

From the home screen, search for Downloader, the orange app by AFTVnews, and install it. It is a small browser that can download app files to your stick.

3

Install the player app

2 min

Open Downloader and enter the download address of the player you chose — TiviMate or IPTV Smarters Pro. We send the current address with your login, because these links change. Install, then delete the downloaded file when Downloader offers to. Unsure which player? Read our app comparison.

4

Add your Glomax8K login

2 min
  1. Open the player and choose Add playlist (TiviMate) or Login with Xtream Codes API (Smarters).
  2. Type the server URL exactly as sent, including http:// and the port number.
  3. Enter your username and password. They are case-sensitive.
  4. Give the playlist a name such as Glomax8K and confirm.
5

Load the guide

2 min

The channel list loads first, then the TV guide. Let it finish once; later updates happen in the background. If times look an hour out, adjust the guide offset in the app settings.

6

Tidy the channel list

1 min

Hide the country groups you never watch and add your regular channels to favourites. A shorter list makes the stick faster and zapping easier.

Five settings that stop buffering on Firestick

SettingSet it toWhy
NetworkEthernet adapter or 5 GHz Wi-Fi2.4 GHz Wi-Fi is the most common cause of freezing
Player decoderHardware (switch only if a channel is black)Less heat and smoother 4K
Buffer sizeOne step above defaultRides out short Wi-Fi drops

Built-in VPNOn if your provider slows video at nightStops evening throttling

Do not buy a “loaded” Firestick

Sticks sold with channels already installed come with unknown software and services that disappear within weeks. Buy a normal stick and add your own Glomax8K login.

Still stuck? The Glomax8K troubleshooting guide lists the fixes in order, or send a photo of the screen on WhatsApp and we will walk you through it.

Questions about this

About ten minutes: two to enable developer options, one for Downloader, two for the player, two for the login and a couple for the guide to load.

Amazon does not list most IPTV players, so they are installed with the Downloader app after allowing unknown apps in developer options.

No. Fire TV sticks top out at 4K. The 8K channels play in 4K on a Firestick; true 8K needs an 8K TV or an 8K-capable box.

The Wi-Fi. Move to 5 GHz or use an Ethernet adapter, close background apps, then try the built-in VPN if it only happens in the evening.
