Glomax8K on Samsung and LG Smart TV: Setup Guide

How to get Glomax8K on a Samsung (Tizen) or LG (webOS) Smart TV without an extra box: which apps work, MAC activation, the login, and when a cheap stick is the better answer.

Samsung and LG TVs run Glomax8K through a player app from their own store.

If you own a recent Samsung or LG TV, you may not need a stick at all. Both brands have IPTV players in their app stores, and an 8K Samsung or LG set is the simplest way to watch the Glomax8K 8K channels at their full resolution.

Samsung Smart TV (Tizen)

1

Find a player in Samsung Apps

2 min

Press Home, open Apps and search for the player we named for your model. IPTV Smarters and several MAC-based players appear on many Tizen versions.

2

Note the MAC address or sign in

1 min

If the app shows a MAC address and a device key on its first screen, photograph it. If it asks for Xtream Codes details instead, type the server URL, username and password from your Glomax8K message.

3

Send the MAC to us (MAC apps only)

5 min

Send the photo on WhatsApp in the same chat as your order. We link your Glomax8K line to that TV and tell you when it is done.

4

Restart the app

1 min

Close and reopen the player. Channels, guide and the film library load. Let the guide finish once before judging speed.

LG Smart TV (webOS)

The steps are the same on LG. Open the LG Content Store, search for the player we named, and either sign in with Xtream Codes or send us the MAC address shown on screen. On webOS, apps that use the Xtream login tend to load the guide faster than playlist-only apps.

Getting 4K and 8K right on a TV

Your TVWhat playsWhat it needs
HD or Full HDHD and Full HD channels15–25 Mbps
4KUp to 4K35 Mbps, Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi
8K (Samsung QN900, LG Z series…)Up to 8K on 8K channels50 Mbps+, Ethernet strongly advised

TVs sit far from the router more often than sticks do, so Wi-Fi is the usual weak point. A cable from the router to the TV’s Ethernet port fixes more problems than any setting. More detail in the 8K guide.

When a stick is the better answer

Older Smart TVs have slow processors, and IPTV apps for them are updated less often. If the guide takes ages to load or the app crashes, a Fire TV Stick 4K or an Android TV box usually costs less than the frustration. See the Firestick guide or the Android TV guide.

Hisense, Philips, Sony and others

Sony and Philips TVs run Android TV / Google TV, so follow the Android TV guide. Hisense VIDAA and other systems have fewer apps; tell us the model and we check what works.

Questions about this

Yes. Install a player from the Samsung Apps store and sign in with your Glomax8K login, or send us the MAC address the app shows so we can activate it.

Yes, through a player from the LG Content Store, with the Xtream Codes login or MAC activation.

It is a unique ID of your TV that some player apps use instead of a username. We link your Glomax8K line to it, then the app loads your channels.

If the TV is an 8K model, yes, with about 50 Mbps and preferably an Ethernet cable. On 4K TVs the same channels play in 4K.
